Vicksburg Campaign

Vicksburg
It started at May 1863 and was considered to be the turning point of the civil war. During that time it was also name Siege of Vicksburg The union won a major victory. Over the coming months, Grant’s men would attempt to dig canals or find ways through the shallow, narrow bayous to bypass what is called the Confederate "Gibraltar of the West''.

Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG
The battle of Gettysburg started in July 1, 1863 and end at July 3, 1863 it was a major victory by Gen Meade's in then Union forces over Gen Lee Confederates forces. It was because the Confederates forces thing the can win the war because of their victory in Chancellorsville, Virgina. In the battle both army suffered 28,000 casualties. The union army suffered 22,807 casualties, including 3,149 killed, 14501 wouned and 5157 captured or missing
